Helicopter hard lands on Manhattan Building It hasn’t crashed into it

The New York Fire Department has confirmed that they are responding to a report of a helicopter crash at a building in midtown Manhattan.

The Fire department says that they were called around 2 p.m. on after the helicopter carried out a hard landing on top of a building on that is understood to be a skyscraper on 51st Street and Seventh Avenue in the city.

It was not immediately known what type of helicopter was involved but it is understood that one person may have lost their lives as a result of the incident.

The single fatality was a result of the ‘hard landing’ on the roof of building 787 on Seventh Avenue, a 54-story office tower in Midtown.

Firefighters are now dealing with a fire from the wreckage on the top of the building
