Police in Reading pull Man’s body from water at Wokingham Waterside Centre

The body of a woman has been recovered from the River Thames in Reading.

Officers from Thames Valley Police were called to Wokingham Waterside Centre at just after 6.30 am on Thursday, July 29, after the man’s body was recovered from the water. Paramedics from SCA also called to the incident, where they confirmed that the man – who was in his 80s from Reading had died.

Police say the death is being treated as unexplained, and police are keen to understand how the pensioner came to be in the water.
