The Tesco’s Store in Portman Road, Reading was closed to customers this afternoon(Sunday) at 4pm. A team of contractors went in to decontaminate the area around the outside of the store to stop any spread of coronavirus. The measures were also taken to make the area covid safe for all staff and customers.
The cleaning also included underneath the front canopy, and all of the other canopies surrounding the store as well as walls and windows, to reduce the spread of infection.
Contractor – Anthony O’Mara told this is Reading and Berkshire247 “we have many stores that we are making covid safe for the company at this time”. The contractor went on to say “that all of the stores are contractually cleaned on a 72 hour basis”.
Store is open as usual on Monday morning.
