Police appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision in Oxford


around 8.50am yesterday (3/11) a cyclist was involved in a collision with a white refuse lorry on Horspath Driftway.

Sadly the cyclist, a woman in her thirties, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Investigating officer, PC Ian Stevens, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “My thoughts remain with the family of the cyclist following this tragic incident.

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed what happened or who saw the cyclist prior to the collision to please come forward.

“Furthermore, I would also urge any motorists who have dash-cams to check any footage in case it has captured something that could assist with our investigation.
