Police want to speak to a woman and a man following an incident of assault in Reading

At around 6pm on Monday 5 October two people attempted to steal a trolley of food from the Co-op in Tilehurst Road. A member of staff stopped them from leaving the shop which resulted in one of the people becoming aggressive and pushing three members of staff before leaving.

Investigating officer PC Nicholas Jose, based at Reading police station, said: “I am releasing these images as I believe that the man and woman pictured may have important information that could help with my investigation.
