Metropolitan Police appeal following collision in Mitcham

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Mitcham.

Police were called at 7.14am on Wednesday, 6 February to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on Holborn Way at the junction with Western Road.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The pedestrian, who is aged in his late 60s, was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

The driver stopped at the scene.

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.
