Every Tuesday, a group of green fingered volunteers known as the “Friends of Woodford Park”, have been busy planting bulbs and getting there hands dirty. The Woodford Park in Woodley is the location where they have been brightening up the area.
This week is the second week of planting and making the gardens and outside areas a warm and relaxing place to sit down and enjoy a coffee in the sun outside of the Oakwood Centre.
The group of friends would like to say a special thanks to the the residents of Woodley who donated plants to improve the area. Included in the donations were some Geranium plants, ideal for attractive ground cover, and a Buddleia, ideal to attract the butterflies.
Thanks also to those who bought our popular Duck Food and Greeting Cards. All funding helps to purchase more plants and bulbs for all to enjoy in our park.
