CCTV appeal following aggravated burglary in Windsor

Police have released CCTV image of two people that might have vital information following an aggravated burglary that occurred in Windsor.

At 2.45pm on Wednesday 15 July, two offenders gained entry to the back garden of a property in Priors Road in Windsor. Entry is believed to have been gained from Mantle Close, or from an alleyway which runs alongside Priors Road.

A resident of the property, a woman in her forties, heard a disturbance in the garden and went outside to check. She then noticed two offenders inside the property, and shouted at them.

Following this, the offenders ran towards her, and it is believed one of them was holding a knife. The victim then ran through the house and out of the front door, without sustaining any injuries.

The two offenders then went upstairs in the property, where a teenage girl was. One of the offenders then punched the teenage girl two or three times to the head.

The offenders then left the property shortly afterwards.

Neither victim sustained injuries. No property was taken.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Steven Baggaley, of Maidenhead police station, said: “This was a terrifying incident for both victims in this incident, one of which was punched by an offender.

“Thankfully neither victim sustained any injuries, however this was a particularly distressing incident.

“I am releasing these CCTV images, as I believe the two people pictured may have vital information that could assist with my investigation.
