A Section 60 stop and search order that was enacted yesterday (5/11) in Slough has been extended until 10pm tonight (6/11).

The order was put in place following a knife-related incident in which an 18-year-old boy sustained injuries to his back and hand.

Two arrests have been made in connection with this.

The Section 60 order applies to the areas shown on the map pictured.

LPA Commander, Superintended Gavin Wong, said: “There will be an increased police presence in the area in order to ensure the public is safe and also to provide reassurance.

“The Section 60 order will be in place until 10pm tonight and will be kept under review.

“These orders exist to help the police prevent serious violence. The public should not be concerned by it, but it is a measure which police officers can use to help ensure the safety of the public and to prevent violent incidents.

“If you have any specific concerns, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101.”
