The Seventh Reading Rotary Santa Run is now open for entries. This year’s event presents a unique opportunity to do something towards local charities at this difficult time.
Due to the uncertainty caused by Coronavirus, it will not be possible for us to all run together. People of all abilities will be able to complete a safe Virtual Run between 1st December and 31st December 2020 at any time either in the park, around town, up and down your stairs or even on a treadmill. Families and friends can get together to walk, jog, run or even cycle in their own safe bubble, you can invite friends from other parts of the country or even abroad to take part by giving everyone the opportunity to join in the Festive fun.
After entering, you have between the 1st and 31st of December to complete your run. You decide on your own route or you can use the actual Santa Run Route shown further down this page. You can run it on your own or with friends or family. You can opt to run in fancy dress if you like, we are encouraging people to dress up and post photos on our Facebook page. Once you complete your walk, jog, run or cycle let us know by e-mail and if you have photos please send them in.
Reading Rotary organises the event and all money raised from this year’s event will be in aid of various Rotary charities. In the past we have supported Macmillan Nurses, Sport in Mind, Launchpad , The Multiple Sclerosis Society and many other charities.
All recognised Charities are encouraged to use the event to get sponsorship to raise money for their own Charity – Please contact us for further details.
