Witness appeal following single vehicle road traffic collision in Maidenhead

The Police are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred in Maidenhead.

At 3.15pm on Saturday (5/9) a purple single decker bus was travelling north along Burchetts Green Road, in the direction of Burchetts Green Roundabout, at the junction with Henley Road.

The bus left the road at the roundabout, and collided with a tree on the other side.

The driver of the bus was taken to hospital for treatment for minor injuries but has now been discharged.

There were no passengers on board at the time.

Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Taylor, of the Roads Policing Unit at Taplow station, said: “I am appealing to anyone that might have seen this collision take place, or anyone who saw this bus travelling on Burchetts Green Road in the lead up to the collision.

“This took place during the daytime, so I believe that it could have been witnessed by a number of people.

“I would also like to request that anyone with a dash-cam fitted to their vehicle, checks the footage to see if anything significant in relation to this incident was picked up.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Thames Valley Police by calling 101, or making a report online. Please quote reference 43200278230 when making any reports.”
